When you volunteer in Scouting, you’re investing in the next generation, guiding and equipping them to succeed and lead as they step into their futures.
You can also invest by directly donating to specific Scouting causes, programs or properties. Thanks to an upgraded website, it’s now a whole lot easier to do that at both the national and local council levels.
Donating to Scouting nationally
The National Council’s annual giving team within the Office of Development has revamped the Scouting Gives website, elevating it into a central donation hub where you can find appeals, events and Scouting priorities that you can support.
Some of the national causes you can give to include the National Eagle Scout Association, the Order of the Arrow, the National Jamboree and the high-adventure bases. For the high-adventure bases, you can specifically support efforts such as building renovations and camperships to enable Scouts to enjoy extraordinary outdoor adventures.
You can also give to funds that help with registration assistance, military families and emergency assistance.
Supporting Scouting locally
Want to support your local council? Many councils have been onboarded to this hub. You can find them by using the ZIP code council locator search tool. Then you can locate appeals, campaigns and funds that your council has linked to the giving page.
How to give
Visit donations.scouting.org or look along the top navigation bar at scouting.org and simply click on the “Ways to Support” button. You’ll then be redirected to the giving page.
Each fund, organization or cause allows online gifts via credit card, bank account or Google Pay, and users have the option to set recurring payments on a preferred schedule.
Interested in onboarding your local council to the new Scouting Gives platform, or have questions about the giving process? You can send an email to give@scouting.org.
